| As work progressed on the hood, we discovered an annoying problem. Neither hood edge was straight, which really became apparent when we tried to align the hood to the front fenders. |

| To correct the problem, we built up the fiberglass along the hood edges and then cut them straight. More hours of sanding followed to smooth and angle the edges properly. |
| Finally, the preparation work on the hood is done, and the last coat of primer has been applied. Next comes color! |
