In December 2000, the 390 had its initial run-in using temporary wiring and other connections.  After the successful engine break-in, the temporary connections were removed.  Work stopped for six months while the car was at my mechanic's getting the subframe connectors, traction bars, and rollbar installed.  Because the car sat outside in the rain during that time, it was necessary to do a major cleanup in September 2001 when we retrieved the car.  Then work began once again.
Engine Modifications Shown:

Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane intake manifold
Edelbrock 750 cfm carburetor
Edelbrock aluminum water pump
Cobra LeMans valve covers
Hot Rod Air dual electric fans and shroud
MSD FE pro-billet distributor
March underdrive pullies
Hooker SuperCompetition headers
Notice the 1/8-inch clearance of the headers on the left-hand shock tower.  Certainly won't want to change spark plugs very often.
